NorCal Solid Works User Group

The Nor-Cal SolidWorks Users Group (NCALSWUG) was founded in early 1996 and has been one of the oldest operating users groups for SolidWorks in the US. At our first meeting Jon Hirschtick, CEO of SolidWorks Corporation, presented the vision of why SolidWorks was created "by the users and for the users" of CAD. The Nor-Cal SolidWorks users group has maintained this focus by having meetings approximately every six months and having users speak more often than software vendors. Although numerous SolidWorks employees and executives have presented at the various meetings throughout the years, assisting users of the technology is the primary focus of the meetings. Bring your enhancement ideas, SolidWorks files to share, and comments to the meetings.

We have held meetings in the east bay, south bay and tri-valley area to accommodate users from the Sacramento area. It seems that the majority of the users are in the Silicon Valley area so for the past couple of years we've had our meetings in the south bay. We average over 100 users per meeting. We're anticipating a large turn-out for the up coming meeting so get your name on our email registry to be notified in advance of the meeting: ncalswug@ayalaresearch.com
